Are you unhappy about your smile because your teeth are crooked and misaligned? With several types of orthodontic aligners, it's never too late to have the perfect, straight smile you always wanted.
With the developments in dentistry, getting straight teeth has become easier and more accessible than ever. And clear dental aligners do the job of straightening your teeth more discreetly than conventional metal braces. Learn how!
A popular alternative to metal braces, clear aligners are transparent orthodontic devices that are used to correct misaligned teeth. They make orthodontic treatment "less conspicuous" as they are less noticeable than metal braces.
Clear Aligners include a series of plastic aligners fabricated using the impressions or digital scans obtained of your teeth. When worn, the aligners put gentle pressure on the teeth to reposition them over time. The patient should wear each set of aligners for one or two weeks as per the treatment progress before going to the next set. Over time, teeth reach their ideal position.
SureSmile aligners correct the following issues:
SureSmiles aligners are one of the latest clear braces that effectively align teeth and jaw while fitting comfortably over the patient's teeth. They are designed to work faster and deliver the exact tooth movements needed to get a straight set of teeth.
At Christensen Dental, we use Primescan™ intraoral scanner to create customized SureSmile® clear aligners.
Step 1 - Start with a Scan
The procedure for SureSmile starts with our dentist taking a digital scan of the patient's mouth to obtain several images of the teeth. At Christensen Dental, we use Primescan™ intraoral scanner, an innovative Smart Pixel Sensor that processes more than 1,000,000 3D points per second. This helps to deliver a highly precise representation of the patient's teeth.
These digital images are uploaded to the SureSmile software and used by our dental expert to evaluate how clear aligners will best work for you and custom-create your unique treatment plan.
Primescan™ has undergone continuous improvement to result in enhanced performance. It allows obtaining high precision digital impressions with patented scanning technology by capturing more high-quality data in less time.
The unmatching precision and quality of the Primescan™ intraoral scanner
have made it a perfect fit for any restoration and orthodontic treatments. The major advantages offered by the Primescan™ intraoral scanner are as follows:
Step 2 - Digital Lab and Treatment Planning
The images obtained with digital scans are submitted to SureSmile's digital lab, and each tooth is assessed using advanced SureSmile planning software to determine its optimal movement to achieve a straight smile. The patient's treatment journey is planned, and the right number of clear aligners needed are fabricated.
Step 3 - Treat
Once you receive the aligners, wear them 20-22 hours each day to achieve your perfect smile faster.
